"Together in Christ We Can"

The 224th Convention of the Diocese of Maryland

"Vibrant ministry is where passion and the world's need come together. If each one would reach one, what a difference there could be! Together in Christ we can."

The 224th Convention of the Diocese of Maryland was held May 2-3 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Three ministries of the diocese explored aspects of the convention theme “Together in Christ We Can.” St. James’ Church, Mt Airy, hosts a Transfer/Child Exchange Center for divorced/separated parents. The Hispanic Ministry office supports this growing population and the congregations serving them. The Literacy Marketplace of St. Bartholomew’s Church, Ten Hills, provides teachers with much needed supplies for classrooms and libraries. It was clear from these presentations that great things are being done throughout the diocese, and that where there is a need there is a church in this diocese to fill it. Good work was also done, including elections to committees and votes taken on four resolutions.
