Amendment to Canon 1-400 of the Diocese of Maryland
(Youth Members on Council)

Resolution 2006-10

RESOLVED, that the 222nd Convention of Diocese of Maryland, meeting May 5-6, 2006, amends Canon 1-400 of the Diocese of Maryland as follows:

Add a new subsection (v) to Section 1.(a) of Canon 1-400, to read as follows:

CANON 1-400
Of Diocesan Council

Sec. 1.(a) The Diocesan Council shall consist of:

(v) If at any time Council membership shall not include at least two (2) persons between the ages of sixteen (16) and twenty-five (25) years, then and in that event, the Bishop, with the advice and consent of Council, shall appoint to Council one (1) or two (2) such persons, as the case may be, to serve until the next annual meeting of the Convention.
