TITLE: Support for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women Infants and Children
RESOLVED, that the 222nd Convention of Diocese of Maryland, meeting May 5-6, 2006, affirms its support for this critical federally funded state administered public health nutrition program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Convention affirms the responsibility of the Diocese to minister to those in need; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Convention dedicates the Diocese to supporting efforts to ensure that WIC is protected and well funded to ensure the continued success of the Program for the nation's most vulnerable populations.
