Resolutions Referred from the 2006 General Convention
RESOLVED, that the 223rd Convention of the Diocese of Maryland, meeting May 4-5, 2007, refer the following Resolutions adopted by the 75th General Convention to the appropriate diocesan committee or ministry for each, and that such ministry or committee communicate to the Secretary of this Convention in writing, as to any action taken. This communication shall be completed prior to the 224th Convention of this diocese.
A042: Church Planting Initiative. Calls on every diocese to identify and document prime opportunities for the development of new congregations.

A077: Revised Common Lectionary. Directs that the Revised Common Lectionary be the Lectionary of this Church, amending the Lectionary effective the First Sunday of Advent 2007, with the provision for continued use of the previous Lectionary for purposes of orderly transition, until the First Sunday of Advent 2010.

A123: Slavery and Racial Reconciliation. Requests that the Presiding Bishop name a Day of Repentance and, on that day, hold a Service of Repentance at the National Cathedral, and ask each diocese to hold a similar service.

A156: Sexual Exploitation. Affirms work being done in many dioceses regarding sexual misconduct and directs that each diocese shall report to the House of Bishops Committee on Pastoral Development prior to the Spring 2009 meeting with a copy of its adopted and implemented policy and an evaluation of the history of its use.

D022: MDGs and the ONE Episcopalian Campaign. Establishes work toward the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals as a mission priority for this triennium, urges each diocese, congregation and parishioner to commit to 0.7% giving by July 7, 2007 (07/07/07). Endorses The ONE Campaign.
