Early Childhood Division Director - St. John's Parish Day School, Ellicott City
St. John’s Parish Day School seeks a F/T Early Childhood Division Director for the 2012-2013 school year. Founded in 1965, SJPDS currently serves 385 students in grades pre-K through 5 in Howard County, Maryland. This well-appointed and attractive school is located on a fourteen acre campus in Ellicott City, Maryland that it shares with St. John’s Episcopal Church. The Early Childhood Division Director is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the division, for modeling a style of exceptional care and concern for each child, and for assisting the Admission director with the student admission/enrollment process. The EC Director reports to the Headmaster. There are 195 students enrolled in the Early Childhood program (3’s, 4’s, and Transitional Kindergarten), with a faculty/staff of 30. The division presents an academically-oriented program with an emphasis on play-based learning. The school prides itself on its strong commitment to the preservation and celebration of childhood. Job Requirements: Undergraduate and graduate degrees in Early Childhood or Elementary Education required. Candidates for the position should love working with young children and have significant early childhood administrative experience; independent school experience and a familiarity with Episcopal schools are preferred. Day School Director - Trinity Church Day School, Glen Arm
Trinity Church Day School, a private preschool located in Glen Arm, Maryland, is seeking a new Director to begin July 1, 2012. The Day School seeks a person who is energetic, creative, organized and has a vision for the school’s future. The Director will oversee the daily operation of the school, teacher evaluations, budget creation among other duties. Trinity Church Day School has a student population of between 80 and 90 students and a staff of 13. The Day School offers programs for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and Kindergarten. Organist Intern - Grace Church, Brunswick
Grace Episcopal Church, Brunswick is seeking an organist intern to play one service on Sundays and various Holy Days (additional income from weddings and funerals). Grace has a 10-rank 1923 M.P. Moeller pipe organ. Seeking an organ student desiring to build a music program in a liturgical church. Will work with priest-in-charge to plan Sunday services and liturgies for special services. Organist/Choir Director - St. James' Church, Mt. Airy
St. James' Episcopal Church, 1307 N. Main St., Mt. Airy. 3 manual, Trillium 908 Masterpiece Rogers organ (four years old) with MIDI, a Steinway spinet piano, hand drum, and Roland keyboard. We also have symphonic level musicans who play the oboe and the flute. This position is for one Sunday service at 10:30 a.m., one weekly choir rehearsal (Wednesdays at 7 p.m.), and Sunday morning warm-up--plus special feast days. 1/4 time (~10 per week depending on time of year). Separate fee for weddings (and first refusal). Salary: AGO BS rate scale commensurate with experience and ability. Seeking an organist/choir director who enjoys a variety of music, who is a team member and enjoys working with adults and young people. We are a multigenerational congregation in a new building with growing numbers of young families. St. James' Mt. Airy is looking for a Part-time Manager with proven retail management experience for its Thrift Shop, 235 S. Main Street, Mt. Airy. Prior management experience in a Thrift Shop or Consignment Shop a real plus. The Manager works 20-30 hours per week (including one Saturday and one Thursday evening per month), supervises and schedules volunteers and employees, manages payroll and budget reporting, supervises donation processing and pricing, and participates in the monthly Thrift Shop Board meeting. Organist/Choir Director - St. James' Church, Parkton
St. James' Episcopal Church is seeking an organist/choir director who is classically trained to help lead our worship on Sundays for a 10:15 Holy Eucharist service. The position is part-time meaning one week-night rehearsal for the choir and Sunday services--and a few additional special feast days. The Church of the Holy Comforter, 130 W. Part-time Music Director - Church of the Holy Nativity, Pimlico, Baltimore
The position will require playing at 11:00 am Sunday service of Holy Eucharist. It is our goal to develop an adult and children’s choir. The immediate goal for the Music Director would include expanding the congregation’s musical offerings to include not only traditional Anglican hymns, but to introduce gospel and contemporary music.
