Ash Wednesday
The Rt. Rev. Eugene Taylor Sutton, bishop of Maryland
Feb. 22
Bishop Sutton will preside over the 8 am Ash Wednesday service at St. Anne's Parish, Annapolis. Following the service there will be meetings with area religious leaders and legislatures on the repeal of the death penalty, and a press conference on Lawyers' Mall is planned.

Ashes to Go

If your congregation plans to offer "Ashes to Go" on Ash Wednesday  please list your information on the national website, http://ashestogo.org/. Also please inform the Communications Office mcn@episcopalmaryland.org so that we can publicize your ministry. Several parishes across the nation and here in Maryland did this last year and many reported it was a huge success.

Suggestion: be sure to have a handout explaining Ash Wednesday, Lent and any Lenten programs you might be offering that you'd invite your neighbors to. For more tips visit: http://www.ecfvp.org/yourturn/ashes-to-go-tips-for-liturgical-outreach/
